2011 PBOY Awarded to Mary Gingrich

The Prairie Brass Band of Arlington Heights, IL has announced that this year's recipient of the Brass Person of the Year award (PBOY) is the band's principal tenor horn player, Mary Gingrich.
The PBOY award is a service award given to that member of the band who has best displayed the exemplary characteristics of attitude, dedication, attendance and musicianship.
The delighted recipient has informed the band that the award plaque is now hanging right next to her husband's Grammy Award.
Congratulations to Mary Gingrich from the entire Prairie Brass Band family.
Prairie Brass Band Hosts US Open Brass Band Championships
The Prairie Brass Band will host the ninth annual US Open Brass Band Championships at the Norris Center in St. Charles, IL on November 5, 2011. Spectators are the primary reason for the success of the U.S. Open Brass Band Championships. Thank you for your participation and we hope to provide you with entertainment that you won't soon forget!
Open Rehearsals
We welcome any interested brass or percussion players to join us for open rehearsals. The Prairie Brass Band typically rehearses weekly in the Arlington Heights area. We are especially looking for cornets. If you are interested please email Clark Niermeyer at info@prairiebrass.org
